Rectangular Expansion Joints
Rectangular Expansion Joints are manufactured to individual sizes and functional requirements by combining standard corrugated elements and corner configurations with self developed fabricating methods to be used as Duct Expansion Joints. Available as single or universal rectangular joints, they are designed to absorb both axial and lateral movements resulting from thermal expansion of rectangular duct systems.
The most commonly used material for the bellow elements are austenitic stainless steels of different grades and carbon steel for the end connections. Material selection is mainly determined by the service conditions. Rectangular Expansion Joint are used in various applications like

Typical locations include suction and discharge of ID and FD fans, Scrubber, precipitator, gas pre-heater, diffuser, diverter for air intake as well as flue gas applications at high temperatures.
Rectangular expansion joint can be manufactured with round or bevel corners. It absorbs axial, lateral and angular movements similar to the round metal expansion joints. The bellows element is manufactured from austenitic stainless steels of SS 304/SS321/SS 316 grade depending up on service conditions.
Duct Expansion Joints are manufactured according to the required size limits. These type of expansion joint are provided with various configurations of corners like

A rectangular expansion joint can also be supplied with additional accessories like internal flow liner, limit rods /control rods/hinges etc to control the movements and expansion of the ducts in a positive manner.
These duct expansion joints can be provided with weld able pipe ends which can be welded in the duct line. They can also be provided with flange ends with requested drilling pattern so that they can fit in the existing gap available matching with the drilling of matching flanges so that they can be simply bolted with the existing matching flanges available in the duct.
